Post 2001 740il radar detector 

I have a 2001 740il  It has a radar detector built into the rear-view mirror.  I have somehow tripped this device and cannot figure out how to "unset" it.  I would love to have the option to utilize it at my descretion.  Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
