I just replaced the front rotors and pads on my 2002 530I.  The left front is fine .  The right front immediately made a noise like a cracked rotor.  The banging or clunking was occurring at tire speed (once per revolution).  Removed wheel and inspected rotor, looked fine.  Used dial indicator to check runout and the rotor was within .001 on each side.  I replaced rotor with new rotor and still have  the noise.  It gets louder with increasing brake pressure.  The car doesn't pull and brakes straight.  I have no idea what is wrong.  I build hot rods and have a good shop and a fair amount of experience, but this one has me beat.  Any Ideas or peculiar things with a BMW I need to check out?

the cause could just be a loose brake pad on the caliper. tightening the shoe tabs against the caliper may eliminate the noise.
