Post 2004 BMW 525i 

Hello everyone, i have a bmw 525i, had it since july 2004 noticed a clunking on full lick cant get any info out of local dealership there useless wondered if anyone had any ideas.

a clunking sound can be caused by several things.
I list the most common below :

- Transmission shift operation fault.
- worn U-joints.
- loose spring mounts, pinion gear nut and yoke.
- excessive ring gear backlash.
