Post 320d hesitation

Just got a 320D Touring, 2004, 43000 miles. At about 2000 to 2300 revs, on a light throttle, the engine feels as though it is misfiring. The dealer is having it in next week, but a cursory check the other day, by one of their people suggested it was at about the point the turbo cut in and was probably normal. I find this hard to believe. Previous diesels I have owned, of other makes, have not done this, and I would not have thought BMW engines would do it either. Any suggestions about a cause that I can arm myself with before I take the car in,in case the dealer tries to give me the " they all do that sir" response.

many drivers of turbocahrged cars complain of the turbo lag. the lag is the time the idling turbine needs to reach boost speed. total lag time may be half a second or more.

no fault codes have been found, right???

of so, you need to try to test drive same car to make a good comparison.

It's not turbolag. For a good example of this try a Vauxhall (Opel) Vivaro! Nothing, then BANG!  My problem does not happen when accelerating, but on a constant throttle. No fault code yet as not taking car into dealer next week.

Thanks for the reply.
