Post 4l30e auto. trans.

hi everyone
i am new to this site  so let me intoduce myself a bit
i live in montreal, canada were i own an e46 m3 and when i travel to lebanon i have an e34 525 1995
i need hepl with that last car in particular, it has the gm auto. trans. with a long 3.26 final drive" the car was shipped from germany" while this gearing is perfect for highway crusing its  less that ideal for mountainous lebanon were its hard to actually drive fast , i was under the influence that a 4.10 final drive with fit on my tranny, is that true ? and if it is how high would my crusing speed at 60 mph be seing how it is at about 1800rpm....which is just too low for such a heavy car with a small engine
really i am being overtaken on uphills by all sort of old peugot's and e30 320.........
thank you for any help and advice
