Hi all

I teach in Saudi Arabia and I bought a 1990 525i from a teacher who had to leave. He really maintained the car very well. The car is still amazing! However, four days after I got it, the central locking, all the windows and wipers stopped working. I checked under the hood and noticed that about 3 relay switches are not there. I'm not sure at all what they are for and if they have any bearing on what's happening. Does anybody know what to do or where I can get an owner's manual? Nothing else appear to be wrong. The engine is stronger than other cars which are new and she still runs like a dream.

did you check the fuse??? nevermind the missing relays it's intended for future expansion not unless somebody opens the hood and stole your relays.

corrosion on fuses can also cause things to stop workin. check the fuses and check 4 corrosion. ive heard that the fusible links can also cause such problems. they r under the rear seat.
