 740iL Cranks but won't Start
1995 BMW 740iL
Had this car 4 years no problem starting.
Left lights on overnight.
Battery low in morning, would not crank; put on charger.
Started as normal, no problem.
Backed it out of the gararge into driveway.
Left a few hours.
Tried to start; cranks but no fire.
Opened air intake, sprayed in starter fluid with TB open; still no start.
Looks briefly at fuses.
Is there a fuse that may have blown when the charger was used?
Any hints, ideas, suggestions, or questions welcome.

I've been having the same problem with my 2000 740i "Sport" with Dinan "upgrades" (man, I love this car!)... replaced air flow meter, didn't really fix it, replaced ignition switch and so far, so good. When I say replaced, I mean I had these items replaced; I'm just enough of an auto mechanic to get myself into trouble!

I never thought of the ignition switch.
Makes sense though.
No power to the ingition system even though the cranking system works fine.
Guess it's time to have her towed to the BMW dealer for pro service!
Thank you.

Turned out to be "flooded"...that's right!
Cold day, ran a few feet shut off. When restart, too much fuel.
Replaced plugs, etc, runs fine again.
Close call!

Hey Larry! You in Utah too? I'm in Springville and Orem! This happened to my brothers Jeep. Replaced the ignition coil and started right up... Weird! Well let me know if you have any problems.
