Post Accelarator Pedal - help

Hi All.

I just bought my first BMW and its a 2003 318 Coupe. I have a slight problem with the accelerator pedal. It looks like the pedal at the bottom should be clipped into some sort of base unit but mine is not. Its kinda loose.

Does anyone know how to get the pedal clipped in. Does is need to come apart as im unable to move it side to side in fear of breaking it. It slooks like on the left hand side there are some screws that could be undone but not sure what size they are. Are they T7, T8 size?

Any help is most appreciated.

This looks like the info that I need in the picture (318 coupe accelerator pedal 1.jpg). All i really need to do is remove the pedal and re-seat it so it slides in and clips in at the base. I've noticed that behind the pedal is a bar that goes through the floor (obviously controls the acceleration). Does that have to be removed or detached from the pedal itself and if so how? Or will it come away after i've pushed the pedal lock downwards with a screwdriver?

Thanks once again.

does that mean the images i gave you is not the same with what you have?

can you please give me the vin so i can check it right. i'm a bit confused of what kind of accelerator pedal that you have. in every model there is a difference on parts and the way to install/remove is another thing.

if it's the same, just pry it and be a little gentle not to break anything.

goodluck.
