All of a sudden the back of the drivers seat cannot be adjusted with the control knob on the side of the seat. It unfortunately is in a position which is at the extereme BACK position(away from the windshield). Cannot drive with seat in this position so my first reaction is to remove the seat and see if something is jammed in the gear train or perhaps the motor is not working. Anyway can someone tell me how to at least get at the underpinnings of the seat mechanism? Appreciate any helpful ideas.

try to give direct 12vdc supply to the motor to diagnose or actuate it manually.
