E-39 rear tire wear

Post E-39 rear tire wear

Can anyone tell me how to get my local dealer (Sandia BMW in Albuquerque) to adjust the rear suspension on an 01 525 sport wagon back to non sport settings.

I was told there is no such setting at the dealer and yet read in Roundel that you simply take the car to a Authorized BMW mechanic and they would be familiar with the resetting so as not to go through a set of rear tires in 5400 miles.
I under stand that there will be a tradeoff with "superior handling", but with $3.40 per gallon gas and new camera monitors everywhere in Albuquerque, agressive handling is gone.

I drive like a little old lady and they still wear the tires out like I'm slidding the corners.
This past winter I noticed several times on flat, strait, icy surfaces the rear end tailed off to one side or the other.

Any help?  This is my third E-39 and I  love the car, I just hate the sport model tire eating.
