Hey, I have a friend here who recently purchased a 91 BMW 325i convertible. It has close to 15X,XXX miles on it and it needs to have a clutch replaced. She doesnt have a lot of cash to have a shop do the replacement so she asked me if I would do it for her. I have a lot of experience working on mazdas, I'm no stranger to working on cars and a clutch swap isnt the hardest task to perform. However this is not a Mazda and, from what most people say, BMWs are not the easiest cars to work on. I do not have any experience working on them other than doing the occasional oil change. Im planning to do the clutch swap for her, but I was wondering you guys would have any tips for me, or could give me a run down on any special proceedures that you have to go through for this car? Do you have to lower the back of the motor to pull the transmission out or anything like that? I have not had a chance to look under the car yet myself, but I figured I would ask here first.
Thanks guys, I appreciate any tips/advice here
