Hi, I've just joined and hope someone out there can help out.   I have had  a 2002  520 SE for about 18 months and the PDC  sytem has never worked (except to warn me it isn't working!).  It has been into a main dealer and they identified one of the front sensors  as being faulty.  This was changed but the system still won't work. At £88 each sensor plus £137 for the control box  plus fitting I am a bit reluctant to work my way through the whole lot.
Has anyone had similar problems?  Can you get sensors from any where else except BMW?  Finaly the sensors are colour coded and the main dealer says I can't buy the cheaper black ones and paint them, saving myself £30 a sensor they have to come pre-painted from BMW HQ!

Any help or advice much appreciated cheers!

the PDC system ain't that difficult to diagnose and the dealership should have repaired it already. maybe there's a problem with the electricals.

in china you can get these sensors other than the dealership and you could save at lease half the price.
