I have manual 2000 323 CI.  It periodicaally looses power to the radio and the ABS light will flash on.  On one occassion the car shut down.  Thre is no rhyme or reason to how often this happens.  It can go days without happening and then happen 3 or 4 times in a 5 mile drive.  I had the car serviced recently and there are no error codes showing up on the computer system.  The technician drove the car for 30 minutes and couldn't get the situation to reoccur. The next day it occurred on the way to work.  Today it did it 3 times.  It may not happen again for several days.  Anyone have any suggestions please?

you need to scan it when the abs light turns on are you from australia what scanner are you or your mechanic using some scanners can not pick up BMW faults or can't even turn off service lights if you have futher problems just message me

Thanks for the information.  I live in the US in Pennsylvania. I'm not sure what scanner my service tech is using.  All they could tell me was that they couldn't locate any error codes and they couldn't get the problem to reoccure during a short drive to test the car.  They service strictly BMW's so I'm assuming that they have all of the proper equipment to analyze the problem but perhaps they don't.  I'll ask to find out.  If you have any other suggestions please let me know.  Thanks
