How to you erase a false code on a Z4. I have a 03 Z4 and it got costly to get local BMW shop to check it out only to find it was a air bag false code. If possible and I get another code would like to be able to erase it and see if it comes back on

I would also like to know how to do this.  I get a running rich code, the dealer had it for six week and found nothing wrong.  I drove it less than 100 miles and the service engine soon light came on.

Do you guys have a OBD-II reader? If yes, you can erase it yourself. Or go to a automotive repair shop and ask them to reset the code for you. If after reset the code, and the light still appear, that is surely not a false code. Some mechanical or wiring problem went wrong somewhere.

dtac28id : I think the dealer is having trouble solving it himself. If you could get the service engine light as you drove it 100 miles, surely they also knew it. I think they only reset but did no adjustment to it.
