Hi.  I am hoping someone can assist with this issue as no one locally can find the answer.  I own a 320i SE Touring, 6-Cylinder 2002, that has suddenly started to use lots of fuel.  When we first bought the car she run 26/28 mpg around town and 40+ on a good run.  We now are chuffed if we get 21 mpg on a long motorway run.

The car has been back to our local dealer 12 times but they stress that there is nothing faulty.  We have paid a seperate garage for a dignostic who fitted a new set of coils but this made no difference.  The performance is awful too, in fact it is so flat overtaking is an issue now!  I have had the emissions checked and no unburnt fuel is being pushed out of the exhaust.

Has anyone got a solution to this problem or heard of it, if so please help.
