My wife was driving her 3-1/2 month old 2010 328i with our kids when they heard a loud boom followed by light sounds of glass flying off the roof and trunk lid while driving 65 mph.  There were no overpasses or flying rocks or high ambient temperatures that contributed to the glass shattering.  She pulled over and noticed a hole protuding outward with the remaining glass cracked but partially intact.  I've been reading post that the exploding sunroof's on BMW's has been reported since 2003.  Aside from the broken sunroof I now have paint scratches all over the roof and truck lid where the shattered glass rolled of the vehicle.

Has this happend recently to anyone with a 2010 model year 3 series?  If so, did the dealer fix it under warranty.

I had the car towed and dropped off at the dealer tonight after hours and wanted to prepare myself when I face them tomorrow should they try and weezle themselves out of repairing it.
