I have buy a gt1 scanner from cardiag.co.uk

Last time,I install it well,I think, maybe someone also don't know how to do.So I suggest as follow:

the latest version of the free VMWARE Player software is written for and happily installs and runs under Vista and Windows 7, so there is in fact no need to go and find an old laptop running XP.  The virtual machine for SSS happens to run in embedded XP, but that's irrelevant for the laptop you use.  My old XP laptop turned out not to have the right processor for running VMWARE Player, so I had no choice but to try a newer machine.  So in your shop/website, you can happily advertise that this software runs under Windows 7 and Vista, and that it is not necessary to try to find an old XP laptop.  I suspect that the bigger and newer the laptop, the faster the software will run in VMWARE Player

You could really do with a better set of instructions regarding installation and configuration of the VMWARE Player software, as it took quite a while to figure out the right settings.  In particular, the fact that you generally need to extract and run VMNETCFG.EXE to set up the connection between your local ethernet devices and VMWARE Player.  I had to edit the.vmx file for SSS to change which virtual ethernet adapter it used - I'm not sure if this was the right thing to do, but clearly as you make and sell this equipment, I'd assume you must have been through the configuration process.

It would be really useful to include a summary of the typical way that the network needs to be set up, and the initial IP address of the OPS box that you ship (e.g. the one you sent me is 192.168.68.85) - it would have saved me quite some time searching on the web and troubleshooting.  For example, knowing that the IP address of the PROGMAN/DIS should be set up to be 192.168.68.50, and the gateway should be 192.168.68.1, etc, and knowing that the ethernet cable you provide is a "crossover" cable that connects directly to the laptop ethernet port.
