Post help buying first bmw (2008 x3)

I'm resorting to this forum because I've had extreme difficulty with dealerships in my area (Northern NJ).  Presently, I've had two dealerships give me these quotes.  1) $43,986 including all taxes and fees.  This only includes metallic paint, comfort lumbar seats, leather interior and the xenon headlights.  2) $43,900 including everything again.  But this one excludes the metallic paint.

Obviously this is a special order as I've only opted for the lumbar seats without the premium package.  Would it be more cost effective to get the premium package (considering it's the '08 and should have the new ambient lighting) or keep it as is?  Should I shop around for a lower price?

Post Help in buying a X3

You should take the obivious and buy another brand. If you think the price differences are boggling, then just wait till you have to deal with the dealer on warranty issues, especially after the car is out of warranty and they want to do $2K worth of work every time you roll in to the dealer.
I have a X3, but have it for sale to someone I don't know.

I guess you can still search and compare other prices before you decide but if it's between the two,the first one seems to have the whole package. One thing, what is the price of the metallic paint?I mean trying to buy it independently if you will have the second dealer, will you save money from it?

you should open your wallet only when you satisfied with the one ,if not ,wait your wallet bigger enough ,then buy a better one.this is my advice.
