Garage Cabinets, Garage Storage, and Garage Organization

Hi

1st time owner, a few weeks ago someone threw rocks at my car, the paint was removed in some parts and the rest is very badly scratched. I know the removed parts have to be worked on but does anyone know what could be good for removing the scratches, it completely went through the clear coat, I was wondering if I should clay bar or polish it? Or would that just make a bad situation worse?

I feel ignorant in this (paint maintenance) stuff, my boyfriend taught me how to use the clay bar and teach me that stuff or tell me what I need to do…but I am not sure what to try in this situation.
