My bmw, 325i (sulev) 2005 (posted pics a few days ago...started to "ping" on slow acceleration this morning and was continueing to do so thru all the upshifts (automatic) and this morning (first time) when I started it up around 8:30 am (temp outside was 76 (So. Calif) I got a loud belt/pulley sqealing that lasted all about 5 min., then stopped. Doesn't that sound like a loose belt? And/or pulley? More like belt to me. The ping..I don't know. I've only topped it off at half tank 2 times since I bought it last week. Ping only started this week and very noticeable today.
I'm going to take it in to the dealer I bought it from, it's under warranty (has 23930 on it) but since I'm a woman...ahhhh, service departments! The squeal was very loud and very apparent.
Any suggestions before I go in?
