hello everyone  

i'm gaz from the north west of england , my car is a 1996 (e36) 316i , i bought it about 2 months ago from a guy who had got a new stereo installed but the monkey who fitted it didnt do it right and set fire to the interior  

anyway she's been fitted with a new interior , just got the engine to sort now , hopefully with a little help from the peeps on here  

i'll post some pics up soon

Those are nasty pictures. So it just set the dash on fire? No the whole car?

no buddy , just the dashboard and part of the carpet in the drivers footwell (luckily) but there was a LOT of smoke damage so i have been busy with the cleaning products  

unfortunately the engine hasnt been looked after so next job on the list is to either strip and rebuild the original 1.6 engine or go the whole hog and swap the engine for a 6 cylinder version   ...................mmmmmmm decisions decisions
