I have a 1996 BMW 318I and recently the needles on my instrument cluster started to malfunction they where coming on and off as I would give the car gas. Now they don't move at all. The check engine lights work, indicator lights work, and the gauges illuminate still it is just all needles (gas, speedo, tach, temp) and my mileage display is out. I have checked all fuses they seem fine, and i have pulled the cluster to make sure wires where secure and those seem fine. Does anyone have any other suggestions to try before i end up having to pay a mechanic to fix it?
