Post Interior Light not working when door open 

Hi I have a '98 1.9 Z3, the interior light works when it is manually switched on but doesn't operate when the doors are opened, I am guessing this is a switch prob, any ideas?

Thats the opposite as my E30. Check the contacts on the inside of the light housing. Might have some build up
