Post mouse smell

Good Afternoon to all:

A few months ago i purchase a 2001 Z3 and love this car like crazy. over the winter however a mouse appears to have gotten into the vents or heater area and it now smells horribly of mouse pee. i have used an ozone generator to try to remove the smell. but with limited success. any suggestions on where this smell might be coming from, and the best solution to removing it?

many thanks for your kind assistance.

Hello, Are you certain that this smell is mouse odor and not the complete dead mouse?

Reason I ask, many years ago a field mouse climbed into the dash of a car I owned and the complete dash had to be removed to remove the mouse.

We tried several ways to remove the odor before we realized the mouse carcass was in the dash.

I hope you find an easier solution than removing the dash.....Best of luck.....Betty Ann   Sad
