Garage Cabinets, Garage Storage, and Garage Organization

i have a 92, 318i 1800 , and i tried to find my fuel filter.so i checked under the car and there is nothing there so i looked in engine bay and found a cylender shape plastic thing sitting below my air intake and it has fuel pipes leading to it. now me being me tried to open it to see if it was the fuel filter inside and snapped one of the small black pipe connections on it.i still dont know if its my fuel filter inside. please someone tell me what it is and if it is my fuel filter inside.

Is this a euro Vehicle?

yes it is is a right hand drive model. e36 318 5door.i have looked under seats and in rear arch but still no luck. i hope you can help. many thanks.

In the US the fuel filters are either on the back of the firewall or along the frame in the rear of the underside of the vehicle. I do not have AllData for euro vehicles

Mine is e30 320i 1991 model and the fuel filter is just in front of the left rear tire.
