Just got myself a gorgeous 1997 318is - the 1895c engine!  drive

Wanted to know if anyone else has the same and what kind of mpgs they get?

Also, I know the engine is the M44B19 which replaced the M42B18 in 96/97. But what (apart from 100cc!) is the actual difference?
I have looked it up on the web but there's no real consistency.  
As far as I've been able to piece together, there BOTH 138hp but the M44 has more torque. Is this right?  confused
