Hi there,

I just so happen to have my owners manual in front of me as I have just bought a 316i SE 2002, so if it is the same style dash it should be the left hand black knob next to the rev counter. Key fob in position 1 - knob right to go forwards and left to go backwards. Pressing it briefly changes it from 12 to 24hr.

I haven't tried it yet myself but may have to as it was turning it earlier after filling up with fuel and wondering if it reset the mpg, so my clock is now probably out!

By the way, do you know if the mpg can be reset to 0?

Phil

I have also just acquired a 316i 2003 and am wondering if there is also a radio code that is needed in the event that the battery has been disconnected?

yes, you need to check with your local dealer regarding your radio code. also, stored settings on the on-board computer will also be lost.

in addition, after a power supply interruption some equipments is disabled and must be activated. likewise, individual settings are lost and must be activated:
- activate sliding roof
- activate steering angle
- activate power windows
