I have a red (pink) 316i,what advice have you for getting red back to nice and shiny ?

Painting your Car

1.Spray your car with a good primer to help the new paint adhere to the car.
2.Sand the primer after it dries to even out the finish.Use a sanding block not just sand paper.Coarse sand paper should be used to make the high spots even while not damaging the low spots.
3.Spray a second coat of primer on and sand it with a 600-grain sand paper for a smoother finish.
4.Remove the masking and wash the car to get rid of any dust in areas you can not see on the car's finishThese can leave bumps in your paint job otherwise.
5.Remask the car and wipe off again.
6.Spray the basecoat of paint keeping the spray gun perpendicular to the section you are shooting and holding it about 10-12" away from the area.This will ensure an even coating.
7.Spray the top coat on the car and let the car dry.
