Run-flat tire problems?

Post Run-flat tire problems?

I've read recently of significant problems with run flat tires in the sport package on 328xis. Looks like this was an issue on past models. Just wondering if it has been an issue on the 2007s. I have the option of swapping out the high perf tires on my 2008. Should I seriously consider doing this?

I deal with tires so often and i don't really see that big of advantages for the run flats. I don't hear that great of reviews.

I wish I could get rid om my run flat tyres and buy regular, but there is no room for a spare, particularly since mine is a convertible. Run flats are expensive, they wear quickly and don't always give you warning of a total blowout like I had last week! ($280 each for 2 new ones!)

One of the advantages of run-flat tires is the ability to drive 150 miles on them at 50 miles an hour.Having a run-flat go bad could cause further problems especially finding a shop that can handle mounting these tires within 150 miles and having a suitable replacement tire in stock.
