Post Service Question

I have a 5 month old 2009 335i with a serious defect. I have started a claim with BMWNA asking for a replacement and am told it will take 3-5 days for them to even respond to me. I'm having a hard time though even getting in contact with the BMWNA customer representative assigned to me. I also have had no luck with my dealer responding to any of my questions. The dealer at best simply explains the current technical state of my car and won't address any other of my concerns.  This is my first bimmer. Is this typical of BMW?
