Garage Cabinets, Garage Storage, and Garage Organization

I was looking at a 97 E36 328 to purchase. Are there any questions I should be asking which are unique to this model? When is the timeing chain due to be changed?

From what I understand, you should never have to replace the timing chain; the only real item to worry about is the chain tensioner.

no need to worry about it as long as the engine runs fine OR it's the last thing you should be thinking of.
