Winter rubber for 2011 328i (RWD) coupe

Post Winter rubber for 2011 328i (RWD) coupe

I live in NJ.  I had a 5 series wagon (2000).  I never put winter rubber on that car, and it was awful in the snow.  Since it was a leased car, I just did not want the extra expense.  I just BOUGHT a 2011 328i coupe (RWD) for my wife.  I am not going to make the same mistake as with the wagon.  Tires are more complex today.  The new car has run flat Conti Pro Contact SSR's on it.  Do I want to get winter rubber run flats and mount on the wheels that came with the car?  The regular tire size is 225/45/17.  Should I get the same size winter rubber?  Do I get another set of wheels (smaller size tire is recommended by tire rack)?  If I do, then I need to get 4 tire sensors along with the tires and wheels.  This could get pretty expensive.  Also, there do not seem to be alot of run flat winter tires out there.  I've seen a set of Blizzaks and Dunlops, and thats it.  Any suggestions are appreciated
