Post Z3 MPG..... 

I recently bought a 1997 Z3, 4 cyl Automatic for my daughter.  Car is very low miles 44,000 and runs great.  My Probelm is MPG.  Driving VERY conservatily we are getting ~18 MPG on the road and 16 MPG around town.  Any thoughts?  Any Comparisons?  Dealer says car checks out fine.  MPG on the sticker was 23 /27.  We are no where near that level. HELP.... Ideas

Hi Ed, My car is 1997 BMW Z3 1.9...I get 22 in the city and 27 on the highway.

Ed, according to bmw the '97 Z3 should get 23 in the city and 31 on the highway.

I agree witht he BMW spec and What the one example given of "real world" mileage is.  My question is what could be wrong with ours that it is this bad.  Anyone have any thoughts?  Experience?
